We've set it up to be an easy starter. It's the limit of the compression and cams I feel are suitable for street use on pump gas, but it has decompressors (look like a second spark plug in the head) and a modern CDI 'magneto from BT-H that automatically retards the ignition at start. The owner absolutely is intent on riding the machine. Ian did something no one else has successfully done, in my opinion, when customizing a Vincent... he kept all of Irving & Vincent's design and engineering intentions in tact, only he improved every one of them. The position of the 'mono-shock' is actually the exact setup, only with modern internal gas shocks... (better in ever way... weight, performance, etc) as Phil Vincent's 1920's patented design, the first on a motorcycle. Ian really paid absolute attention to the engineering here, as well as form. Again, the first to do so, so completely and successfully with a Vincent. Even the Vincent purists have been gobsmacked so far at this achievement. As am I!
